Introduction

One of the most beautiful cities in Madawaska County in New Brunswick, Canada is

Edmundston. In 1850, the city was established after Sir Edmund Walker Head, the former

governor of New Brunswick. It was the logging industry that played a major role in the

economic development of Edmundston. According to the census of 2021, the population of

Edmundston was 16,437 (thecanadianencyclopedia, 2012). In 2023, Edmundston united with the

village of Rivière-Verte and parts of two local service districts. Jardin Botanique du Nouveau-

Brunswick, Grey Rock Entertainment Center, and the River Foyle are some of the attractions.

The involved people must be responsible and communicate with each other to reach

organizational goals to manage a business. The interaction between individuals and groups

within the organization impacts the success of the business significantly. Thus, it is really

important to focus on organizational behavior to manage the workforce. City management also

works in the same way. Digital transformation is when computer-based technologies are

incorporated into the products, processes, and strategies of an organization (Deiser, 2018). In city

management, digital transformation plays a great role as it influences the behavior and lifestyle

of the people in it. Digital transformation is used by smart cities to advance and create a hyper-

connected society that transforms relationships between people.

Public transportation is a serious problem in Edmundston City in Canada. For this reason, the

behavior of the people as well as the city life is affected. In this report, the issue of public

transportation is analyzed through different theories of organizational behavior. And at last,

recommendations are given to improve the scenario.
