How we calculate OOIP?

Mainly 3 methods

1. Volumetric method.
It is a pure geologic method.
It is based on map generated by seismic interpretation and then multiplying it by properties
or Petrophysical parameters integrated from initial well or couple of wells before starting
the production divided by the original formation factor.
Lastly converting reservoir units(bbl) to surface units(STB).

2. Material balance.
It uses production history and pressure history declining in addition to the pressure ,volume,
temperature i.e PVT properties for the reservoir fluid to build the tank model tondetwrmine
what is going btw the vol of the reservoi and declining of the pressur to determine OOIP in
place.

3. Numerical simulation.
It is integration btw all geologic data and engineering data to just simulate or hava an actual
model to determine the reservoir properties and to estimate the OOIP
