1. What are some different greeting customs in your country?

Turkish people are so sincere. They love introducing and launching conversation with new people.
The socializing is pretty important for Turkish people. They like talking how by touching and making
eye contact. To farewell with them can take a long time. Generally, they ask questions about your
private life. Like those; “Are you marriaged?”, “Have you got a child?

2. When should you use a person’s title in the United States?

I use a person’s title If a person has a title such as doctor, pastor or proffessor

3. Do family members in the US hug and kiss when they greet each other? What about in your
country?

No, they do not. Turkish people hug and kiss when they greet with their family member. If fact, the
people can hug and kiss with unknown people in my country. Since Turks are so pleasant.

4. How much personal space do people in your country prefer?

We must stand 1,5 meters length from other people. We learn what common courtesies at the
school. However we do not obey this rules. We can invade the personal space of the other people
especially in the crowded places.

1. How large are most families in your country?

In my country large of families vary by region. The people that living east of my country have larger
family than others. The ladies have about six children there. That count of ladies having children
decrease especially metropolitan. In summary, most families of in my country have a child at least.

2. How have families changed in your country?

Turkish families are different today than they were 100 years ago. Turkish families are smaller than
before. Also they lived in the villages. They worked in their garden. They earned money by sell the
fruit or vegetables. So they needed to have lots of children. There is not need this at the moment.

3. What are some reasons that families have or haven’t changed in your country?

The looking for a job and earn money of people get harder in my country. So people do not want to
have more children. The people do not live in the village anymore. And the count of working in the
farmer are decreasing day by day. There is not need what the children work.

4. What kinds of non-traditional families are most common in your country?

Actually, There is not common what non-traditional families in my country.
