Concept points:

Measurement of Angles:
A degree is a unit of measurement of an angle.
The symbol used for representing degree is ˚.
We use protractor to draw an angle and measure an angle.

Types of Angles
➢ Acute Angle: It lies between 0° to 90.
An angle whose measure is more than 0° less than 90° is called an acute angle.

➢ Obtuse Angle: It lies between 90° to 180°

An obtuse angle has a measurement greater than 90° degrees but less than 180°
degrees.

➢ Right Angle: The angle which is exactly equal to 90°

➢ Straight Angle: The angle which is exactly equal to 180°

➢ Reflex Angle: The angle which is greater than 180° degrees and less than 360°
degrees.
➢ A circle is a round shaped figure that has no corners or edges

➢ Radius.:
straight line extending from the center of a circle or sphere to the circumference or
surface: The radius of a circle is half the diameter.

➢ Diameter:
a diameter of a circle is any straight line segment that passes through the center of
the circle and whose endpoints lie on the circle. It can also be defined as the longest
chord of the circle.

Diameter = 2 x radius

➢ Chord of a circle:
A chord of a circle is a straight line segment whose endpoints both lie on the circle.

➢ Circumference pf a circle:
The length of the boundary of a circle is called circumference.
