Soal

1) Menurut Al-Faruqi, kondisi ummat Islam yang berada dalam keterpurukan menjadi
pemicu lahirnya gerakan Islamisasi ilmu pengetahuan. Lebi lanjut Al-Faruqi menyatakan
sebagai.

The Ummah of Islam stands at present at the lowest rung of the ladder of nations.
In this century, no other nation has been subjected to comparable defeats or humiliation.
Muslims were defeated, massacred, double-crossed, colonized, and exploited,
proselytized, forced or bribed into conversion to other faiths. They were secularized,
Westernized, and de-Islamized by internal and external agents of their enemies. This
occurred in practically every country and comer of the vast Muslim world. Even though
they were victims of injustice and aggression on every count, Muslims were vilified and
denigrated in representations of them in all nations. (Islamization of Knowledge: General

Jelaskan dua aspek dari empat aspek kelemahan umat Islam (malaise of the ummah)

2) Mastery of the modern sciences menjadi kunci bagi Islamisasi ilmu pengetahuan. Al-Faruqi
menjelaskan sebagai berikut.
Mastery of the modem sciences means that Muslim scholars of modem sciences
must have command over those sciences. To understand their objectives and the history
and circumstances of their development, they must fully understand their issues and
methodology and be able to approach them in their totality. They also must know the
critical, analytical, and objective aspects of those sciences in their Western perspective
and in the light of the true Islamic viewpoint.
Jelaskan pentingnya mastery of the modern sciences pada kutipan Al-Faruqi di atas. ![Skor = 20]:
3) Dalam realitas sosiologis kita menyaksikan bahwa banyak orang yang berilmu justru perilakunya
bertentangan dengan esensi ilmu pengetahuan, misalnya: ilmu itu menerangi, membawa cahaya,
mendorong kemanfaatan dan khosyyah (pembahasan aksiologi). Jelaskan secara argumentatif
mengapa persoalan ini bisa terjadi! (Skor=15)
4) Persoalan pengangguran menjadi problem besar bagi bangsa Indonesia. Jelaskan solusi mengatasi
pengangguran terdidik dalam perspektif filsafat ilmu (ontologi, epistemologi dan axiologi)! [Skor
= 30]
5) Paling tidak ada 3 pola hubungan antara sains dan agama, dan masing-masing melahirkan
implikasi/ekses tersendiri dalam lintas sejarah hingga saat ini. Jelaskan 3 problem sains modern
dilihat dari Islamic world view! [Skor= 15].
