Category) with contract type Regular, Fixed-Term (One Year Fixed Term, Two Year Fixed Term, and
Special Fixed Term) or SST Graded or SST Ungraded

Plan Type Qualification

1. Birth leave shall not commence earlier than two (2) calendar weeks prior to the due date.
Validation Rules
2. Employees can take birth leave as per the requirements from the “Entitlement Details” table from
below.
6. Only applicable to birthing parents (female).
7. Staff members are not required to exhaust accrued annual leave prior to commencing birth leave. A
staff member continues to accrue annual leave while on birth leave.
8. Sick leave shall not be granted while a staff member is on birth leave.
9. Force to apply for Annual Leave or Parental Leave beyond the Birth Leave entitlement
10. The total leave period shall be counted in calendar weeks, including non-working days and official
holidays, from the day of its commencement
11. Birthing parents whose appointment ends prior to six weeks before the anticipated date of birth are
not eligible for birth or parental leave.
12. Time spent on birth leave is considered active service for the purpose of rights and entitlements
granted based on time in active service.
13. Leave cannot be booked after the end of contract date
