The National Development Goals

The National Development Goals are global call to make action

towards ending poverty and protect the environment and climate, to ensure
that people may enjoy peace and prosperity. It could be summed up to
making changes for the betterment of the society. It was published in the
2015, it was agreed upon by world leaders across the globe. The goals were
published to create a better world by 2030 by ending poverty, fighting
inequality and addressing the urgency of climate change. Guided by the
goals, it is now up to all of us, governments, businesses, civil society and the
general public to work together to build a better future for everyone. The
NDSG are collection of 17 interlinked global goals published to be used as
guide toward the change and betterment.

The 17 Global Goals are as follows: No poverty, Zero Hunger, Good

Health and well-being, Quality Education, Gender Equality, Clean Water and
Sanitation, affordable and clean energy, Decent work and economic growth,
industry, innovation and infrastructures, reduced inequalities, sustainable
cities and communities, responsible consumption and production, climate
action, life below water, life on land, peace, justice and strong institutions and
partnerships for the goals.

As we all know the World is ever changing from primitive to the age of
technology. But as the world advances and are globalized some are still left
behind, some are still struggling. As we all now life is not fair for everyone.
And those who are left behind are struggling to meet their needs. And with the
Goal to fight poverty and inequality we can help even I our own ways by
cooperating with the government program. By being concerned citizens with
the proper mindset and knowledge in fighting inequality. Another one is being
sensitive toward the environment. We have to be sensitive enough to deal
with what is going with the environment and what are the effects of the human
activity toward the environment. Be knowledgeable enough to know the small
steps each one of us can contribute towards climate change and how to
preserve the environment and make the world in the future sustainable for the
generation to come.

The Regional Goals and Objectives

The Regional Goals and Objectives were drawn out of the Philippine
Development Plan 2017-2022. Through the initiative of the Nation Economic
and Development Authority (NEDA) the PDP was published. The PDP will
serve as blue print towards attaining a better and more secure life for the
citizens of the Philippines for the next 25 years.
The Regional Development Plan was launched to complement the
PDP which will regionalize. This will then serve as guide to promote private
and public investment in the regional level. It is intended to place regional
development at the center of the socioeconomic development strategy. By
doing so, the focus of creating more job opportunity, improving social
services, encourage innovation in the provinces will be the center of
development. This aims to reduce poverty and accelerate development in the
rural areas. This would also focus on infrastructures development, while
protecting our natural resources, address criminality and illegal drugs and
ensure peace and order.

This Plan would be a big help especially to rural areas, where normally
wouldn’t be prioritize because of how our government works. This will
promote more opportunities to people in the provinces, especially those who
are in the poverty line. Putting priority to infrastructure would mean more job
opportunity for the people in the provinces. Improving social services would
be a game changer for those in the rural areas where normally wouldn’t be
able to afford healthcare. Those individuals who are previously deprived of
healthcare would now be catered. Over all the Regional Development Plan
will be a game changer to the people in the provinces as they are now more
recognized by the government.
