DiscoverNUS and the NUS ASEAN Master’s Scholarship Programme bring top students from partner universities
across Southeast Asia to study at Singapore’s flagship university, creating a pipeline of talent that will lead the
region into the future. Come enjoy our beautiful campus and participate in cross-cultural collaborations and
activities with NUS students!

This two-part programme comprises one tuition-free undergraduate semester at NUS, and a scholarship
opportunity for an NUS master’s degree.

ELIGIBILITY
Be a citizen of Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia,
Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines,
Thailand or Vietnam.
Be a full-time undergraduate student
enrolled at a partner university.
Be in the penultimate year of your
undergraduate studies.
Possess outstanding high school / pre-
university qualification(s).
Be proficient in English.

Extracurricular activities (e.g. clubs, sports, etc.)
Academic awards or scholarships from high school

DiscoverNUS participants are automatically eligible for
an NUS ASEAN Master’s Scholarship.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
DISCOVERNUS
The scheme covers full tuition fees for one semester of undergraduate study at NUS.

DiscoverNUS students are guaranteed on-campus housing. Students are expected to pay for housing, however
there is limited financial aid available, which will be allocated on a demonstrated needs basis.

Students must indicate two areas of study of their choice. NUS will do its best to place students in a school or
faculty that matches their choice.

NUS ASEAN MASTER’S SCHOLARSHIP

DiscoverNUS participants are eligible for an NUS ASEAN Master’s Scholarship. Once you have completed your
undergraduate degree, apply to a participating master's programme and you will automatically be considered for
a scholarship. Please note that admission to a master’s programme is competitive and not guaranteed.

The scholarship covers full tuition fees for a Master's Degree programme at NUS and is available only to
DiscoverNUS participants.

NUS ASEAN Master’s Scholarship recipients are guaranteed on-campus housing. Students are expected to pay for
housing, however there is limited financial aid available, which will be allocated on a demonstrated needs basis.

Recipients of the scholarship may not concurrently hold any other scholarship, fellowship, bursary, grant, award
or allowance without notifying NUS.

If the recipient of the scholarship decides to withdraw from the University and/or terminate the scholarship
prematurely, NUS reserves the right to impose repayment of all scholarship monies disbursed to the receipent.
