Lok Adalat is one of the Alternate Dispute Redressal(ADR) mechanism and the
members of Legal Aid Society, Campus Law Centre successfully volunteered for
the National Lok Adalat, 2022 which took place on 12th November, 2022 in
various district courts. The students had the opportunity to witness and learn in
person as to how a Lok Adalat works.

The students visited 7 different courts namely,

1. Tis Hazari Court

2. Rouse Avenue Court
3. Patiala House Court

4. Rohini Court
5. Saket Court

6. Karkardooma Court
7. Dwaka Court
Learning experience by students :

I wanted to visit Tis Hazari and luckily I was put in same list.
More than observing Lok Adaalat proceedings, I was excited to
meet new faces and make friends with them.
We went with high expectations and we're waiting for work to be
allotted to us but sadly that didn't happen. Something more
interesting and informative happened as we got opportunity to
interact with the Judges. In an extremely humble tone, they
explained us the procedure of Lok Adaalat and answered all our
questions even the silliest ones with a gentle smile. I will simply
define them as elegant, intelligent and heartwarming.
We also had chance to observe proceedings of Traffic Challan
court and Bank loan matters.
In a nutshell, it was another occasion I was exposed to reality of
legal professional and bestowed upon with opportunity to make
contacts.
