Summary, conclusion, implications, recommendation

This is the most creative and demanding part of the study .this chapter gives a brief account
of the summary ,conclusion, implication and recommendation of the “A study to assess the
study skills & habits and its impact on academic performance among nursing
students at selected nursing colleges, Tiruvallur district”

Summary

The heart of the research project lies reporting the finding ,the aim of the A study to
assess the study skills & habits and its impact on academic performance among nursing
students at selected nursing colleges, Tiruvallur district.

Statement of the problem was

“A study to assess the study skills & habits and its impact on academic performance
among nursing students at selected nursing colleges, Tiruvallur district”

Objectives of the study were

1. To assess the study skills& amp; habits and academic performance among nursing
students.
2. To correlate the study skills & amp; habits and academic performance among nursing
students.
3. To find out the association between the selected demographic variables and skills &
amp; habits among nursing students.
4. To find out the association between the selected demographic variables and academic
performance among nursing students.

Methodology of the study was

The quantitative research was apporach , descrptive design was adopted for the study and the
purposive sampling technique was used to select 78 from the college ,a standardized 5point rating
kuppasamy scale

THE MAJOR FINDING OF THE STUDY

Demographic variables B.SC(N) students

More than half of the students (64.1%) was in the age group of 19 years education status
in the father high school(55.1%) Education status in mother high school (39%) occupation of
father shop owner (41%) occupation of mother unemployed (37.1%) socio economic status
middle class (93.5%) family income <15000 (53.8%) family type nuclear 56(71.7%) religion
hindu (91%) area of resisdence

LIMITATION
The study is limited to sample size of 78 only.

The study is limited to selected nursing college at tiruttani.
