    The Homeopathic Medical Council of Canada (HMCC) has helped expand insurance coverage of homeopathy. Blue Cross Atlantic now covers homeopathy due to HMCC's efforts. HMCC is the only association that provides liability insurance for all its members and lobbies for extended health coverage. HMCC was also first to introduce the professional title and designation of H.D. to the Ministry of Health in 1992.
