CHEM 203 FIRST TERM TEST

February 9, 2024, 6-8 p.m.

Please note:

Your term test is to be completed by you, yourself, individually. Please do not communicate with anyone
other than an instructor or TA, either in person or electronically, for the duration of your exam.

 Please note that instructors and TAs might not be able to answer your question(s) if this will “give
away” the answer and give you an unfair advantage over your peers.
 Please note that stating an instructor or a TA gave you incorrect information when answering a
question, causing you to answer incorrectly, will not be considered grounds for a regrade.

You can do this!

 You may use a non-programmable calculator, writing tools, and erasing materials on this exam.
 Please do not use graphing or programmable calculators. You are not generating a graph of data
points on this exam!
 Your exam can only be considered for regrading if written in permanent ink.

Grading:

 All multiple choice questions worth 1 mark ⇒ 4 marks from 4 multiple choice questions.
 All multiple-select questions worth 2 marks ⇒ 10 marks from 5 multiple choice questions.
 Each written answer question worth 3 marks ⇒ 6 marks from 2 written answer questions

Please make your multiple choice/select answer selections very clear on the exam paper, by circling the
entire answer or the answer’s letter.

 There is only one correct answer for each multiple choice question.
 There are only two correct answers for each multiple-select question.
 Vague selections cannot receive full credit and will most likely be awarded a grade of zero.

Please also make your written answer solution as clearly outlined as possible, and show all your work in
the space provided.
