is an act committed or omitted in
violation and is punishable by law.
An act no matter how immoral the
degree of immorality, as long as
there is no law punishing, it will not
be considered a crime, and shall
remain an anti- social act.
ELEMENTS OF CRIME

1. There must be an act.


2. The act must be voluntary.
3. It must be punishable by law.
GENERAL CLASSIFICATIONS OF CRIME
1. Offense- is an act or omission that is punishable by special laws ( a
special law is a statute enacted by congress, penal in character,
which is not an amendment to the Revised Penal Code) such as
Republic acts, Presidential Decrees, Executive Orders, Memorandum
Circulars, Ordinances and Rules, and Regulations.
2. Felony- an act or omission punishable by Revised Penal Code, the
criminal law in the Philippines.
3. Infraction- acts committed in violation and punishable by an
ordinance.
4. Delinquency/ Misdemeanor- acts that are in violation of simple
rules and regulations usually referring to acts committed by minor
offenders.
ACTIVITY

classifications of crime and make a scenario on it.

Group 4- Delinquency/ Misdemeanor
