Annotation:
The purpose of this study is to describe the characteristics of teaching
materials based on STEM as well as to know the improvement of
mastery of concepts of high school students. Characteristics of STEM-
based teaching materials containing dynamic fluid materials with
practical problems and procedures and project preparation associated
with STEM aspects. Result of feasibility test using questionnaire shows
the instructional is suitable to be used. The result of the readability test
using the cloze test shows the teaching material is easily understood.
Teaching material can improve the mastery of student concepts
characterized by the increase of pretest value to posttest.

The participants of this study are the Grade 11 STEM students at
A. COLLECTING PHINMA Cagayan de Oro College.
INFORMATION
The sampling design that will be used in Innovations of Teaching
Method in STEM: Advancing Development of Knowledge and
Skills of Students in STEM Strand in PHINMA Cagayan De Oro
College is purposive sampling. According to Patterson (2002),
referenced in Palinkas et al. (2015), purposeful sampling is a
method that is frequently employed in qualitative research to find
and choose examples that are rich in information and make the
most use of few resources.
This study will have to use qualitative research design.
B. RESEARCH DESIGN Specifically, it will make use of the Moustakas' phenomenological
research, as outlined by Knaack (1984), focuses on
understanding the essence and structure of lived experience.
This research design will be used in this study since it will include
the live experiences of the students who will be interviewed. This
will include the development of their knowledge and skills with
the innovations of the teaching method.
