• Assignment 1 is an individual research
paper
• Assignment 2 is a group presentation
• Assignment 3 is an individual online
quiz/test
Assignment 1
• Briefing Paper/Literature Review
• Focuses on ULOs 2&3
• 40% weighting!
• Select ONE of FIVE potential topics
• Classical Ethical Theory/ies
• Ethical Decision-Making Frameworks (Critical Analysis & PEAS)
• Edited before submission / No drafts read (Sorry)
• Read the Assessment Guidelines & Rubric
• Consistent in-text citations / direct quoting & paraphrasing
• Follow the Harvard Quick Guide
Assignment 1 Common
Errors
• Missing: classical ethical theories and principles, ethical
decision-making frameworks
• No references presented inside the body of the
document
• Using a different referencing style rather than the
required Harvard Style / Poor quality references /
reliance on Wikipedia / outdated references /
Inconsistent use of the Harvard Style / Not understanding
a reference list vs. a bibliography
• Too much opinion, lack of balance, lack of synthesis / Too
technical
• No evidence of use of the Swinburne Library Databases
• No logical flow to the review / Poorly edited
• No introductory statements to set the scene and/or no
conclusion to bring the document to an end
Assignment 2

• Narrated PowerPoint Presentation

• Presentation format is a VIDEO
• Focuses on ULOs 1,2,3&4
• 40% weighting! (30% Presentation + 5% Team Charter + 5%
Peer Evaluation)
• Team Charter document is available in the Assignment 2
Folder in Canvas
• Investigative Case Study
• Select ONE UNSDG, an associated Wicked Problem with
the chosen Goal and propose a Socio-Technical Solution.
The solution will be conceptual
• All group members to participate
• Read the Assessment Guidelines and Rubric
• Referencing is mandatory. Follow the Harvard Quick Guide

Assignment 3
• 20% Online Test in 45 minutes.
• Open book.
• ULOS 2 and 3
• Mix of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and T/F
Questions
• One question will be shown at a time. Each question
will be locked after you select an answer.
• You can log on and start the quiz
between Wednesday 12:00am 17/05/2023
to Thursday 11:59pm 18/05/2023.
• If you start after 11:15pm 18/05/2023 you will
decrease the amount of time available (i.e., less than
the allowed 45 minutes).
• Must start and finish. Cannot be saved halfway
through.
• There is an access code: You will be told prior to the
event
