INSTRUCTIONS OF USE 1
Open the seal by removing all the shoulder screws.
Lube the (A) shaft o-ring. BE CAREFUL NOT TO PUT ANY
LUBRICANT ON THE O-RING’S ENDS.

Place the two halves of the seal around the shaft and tighten
2 the (B) four gland screws alternately, in order to make the
halves come together parallel. Do not tighten over 10 Nm
(90 in-lbs).

3 Push the seal against


the stuffing box face.

Tighten the nuts on the stuffing

torque of about 10 Nm (90 in-lbs).

5 Tighten the (C) two outer collar screws at a torque
of about 5,5 Nm (50 in-lbs).
Gradually untighten the (D) four centering clips
screws until the slots for the inner collar screws
are accessible.
DO NOT COMPLETELY REMOVE THE CENTERING
CLIPS

6 Tighten the (E) two


inner collar screws at a
torque of about 5,5 Nm
(50 in-lbs).

7 Gradually tighten back the (D) four centering clips


screws until fully compressed. Alternately lock the
(F) setting screws to the shaft until secure.

8 Remove the (D) centering clips and save them for


future use. Manually turn the shaft to make sure
nothing is binding.

9 Connect the required piping to the flush ports if


needed, vent all air from stuffing box and start the
equipment with the manufacturer’s recommended
procedure.
