Like a Phoenix from the fire!!!!!!!

Hope, deceitful as it is, serves at least to lead us to the end of our lives by an agreeable route. Hope is some extraordinary spiritual grace that God gives us to control our fears, not to oust them. It is with high hopes and aspiration that a newly married look for a kid. They hope for everything to be positive in our life. They offer their prayers, wealth and riches to God Almighty for the best offspring which would make them proud in front of the world and the parent starts to dream and hope more and more about their kids whom they hope to achieve whatever they have tried and failed. All parents look forward to their kids as a gift from god and bring them up providing them all what they want even if they are not demanding for it. That is the power of hope and love of parents. Once when you start hoping, anything is possible. Even if the world is against you, hope and hard work would make you successful before all those who said that you are good for nothing and never saw your hidden potential. One might thing why I talk so much about hope and care by ones parents for kids. I was searching for an ad for almost a weeks time until finally I saw this epic ad which bagged almost 8 national awards and international recognitions. It is a very simple, but touching ad which depicts high hopes of the parents, and their love to their kid, a girl into her early twenties. The ad starts off by introducing a very beautiful, elegant girl who is sitting in front of a dressing table with her cute hair curls, she is in her traditional white Kerala sari with minimal makeup, she is a beauty herself and she is giving confidence to herself, inspiring herself. She has the fire in her eyes to achieve her heights and fly high, her eyes shows a new hope and confidence, she believes in herself and her talents. She has a violin in her hand and her parents, almost into their mid fifties, are shown. They too are looking which pride in their eyes towards their girl who is their only daughter. The parents have full confidence and faith in her talents. Her mother walks up to her brings her back to the present and hands her a cup of tea which symbolizes the trust and confidence in her kid. She pats her kid in the shoulder and asks her with her love and affectionate eyes to be confident in herself and her hard work. The scene shifts to a crowded auditorium, a closed one which is fully packed to see the mesmerizing performance of the girl. The girl is seated and she starts her recital and the entire episode of her life till date unveils in front of us. She is truly a phoenix who rose

up from not just fire but of constant rejection and where ever she went, she gets negation and turning down. Her parents brought her to attend swimming classes and we are shown how plain the expression of negation in turning her down is depicted in the swimming tutor. She is almost like a sequence of turning down from her school and everywhere she went. But her parents never lose hope in her and they accompanied her everywhere she went. The parents accepted the fact and then make their daughter be at home and they bought her a new violin, which she accepted as a very valuable thing and she even from her early days excelled in it and was very impressive, she literally recited melodious tunes. Her exquisite talent in what she liked and her hard work made her stand up erect to a world which has turned her down everywhere she went. The magic from her violin flow profoundly as if like heavenly music and she had everyone swaying their head in enjoyment and in approval of her exquisite composition and talent. The violin which was gifted to her by her father became her best friend and her soul mate. Today is that auspicious day when she makes a public appearance with the showcasing of her rare talent and this is her one answer to all those who denied her, rejected her and turned her down without even trying to dig deep into her to know her dormant talents. This was the reason for her solitude in front of the dressing table she was getting ready to answer all those who doubted her capabilities and her urge to soar high and be recognized among her pears, she was even denied of even playing with her pears. She is making the entire auditorium tap to her tunes and even the famous personalities in the art of violin recital are spellbound in seeing her doing magic with her fingers and strings. Finally the recital ends, the camera clicks in all direction and with the unison of clapping hands the entire crowd rises from their seat in acceptance to congratulate her on her maiden performance. She has reached the spotlight and she will surely remain in the spotlight for the years to come. The camera angle of the entire ad shifts backwards to show us where the artist is seated, she is a born cripple who has the desire to soar high as her friends do and she just needed to find her field. She looks back at her parents who supported her through thick and thin and with tear filled eyes, she hugs them both seated in her wheel chair and when her tears tickle down, all do feel proud of her and her hard work and wets their eyes. The voiceover comes in to announce that when youre not alone, no challenge is too difficult.

This classic ad of Kannan Devan was done by creative directors, Ramanuj Shastry, Vinod Dsa and the director of the ad was Mr. Pradeep Kumar. This ad was released at the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Kannan Devan, the largest consumed tea of Kerala. The positives in this ad: 1. It spreads a message that everyone can be successful if there is a strong strive in him/her to soar to success. 2. It spreads the message that if you have someone to support you through your thick and thin, no boundaries seem like a real challenge. 3. It asks every individual to believe in himself and work hard for success. 4. The ad is proven to have been an inspiration to many cripples and disabled individuals who stared at the world as to what needs to be done again. Negatives that could be sited: 1. The relevance of tea as a drink to ease stress and to give confidence is stressed in this ad, which for every man, when asked to think about is always debatable a topic. 2. The parents should have dreamt of less when they see that their kid is a cripple, but as hopes are boundless, to a certain extend could be justified. But still it is a negative aspect according to me 3. Also, the parents humbled themselves and the kid in front of all until finally they made up their mind to sit calm and work on the exact situation of their kid. Even if these negatives are cited, this superb ad is truly inspirational and touching and I could find about no other tag line other than: When the world says, "Give up," Hope whispers, "Try it one more time."
