The Perception of Health

Good afternoon, ma'am. I'm Crystal Ghayle Parras, a student nurse at Nothern Christian
College. I would like to interview you about your perception of health.

1. How would you describe your current health journey?

As of now, Anak ko, I'm suffering from high blood sugar.

2. Have you noticed any changes in your health?

Wen addu t bimmal baliwan na tuy bag bagik. Idi mayat pelang detoy bagbagik awan idi
mariknak nga saki sakitin ngem itan ket kanayun nak nga maul ulaw nak meten duray naka idda
nak. [ Yes, there were so many changes in my body before I was healthy that I didn't suffer any
illnesses, but now, most of the time, I feel dizzy even if I'm lying down. ]

3. Can you share any experience or insight that has influenced your perception of health?

As of what I am doing, I took herbal medicines, and my medications adda nagbaliwan na kasi
bumab baba met tuy sugar ko ngem nu masubraak t makan agsubli manen.[ There is a change;
my sugar becomes lower, but when I eat too much, it will become high again].

4. How do you prioritize your health in your daily life?

I prioritize my health in my daily life because I really need to be healthy because I am working.
If I am not healthy, I cannot perform my job very well. I need to take my daily intakes, and
then dapat ket piliak tay i intake ko nga food tapno t kasta ket haan nak unay nga sak sakit ten
kasi narigat talaga nu ma over detoy bag bagik ken nu awan t control ko t kanik deta nukwa t
mang trigger, so I need to be healthy. There are times nga innak ag walk walking, then there are
times nga ag exercise nak 4 minutes of exercise every day. [However, I control my food intake
because I will not suffer any illnesses because it is very hard if you overuse your body, and
when I don't control my diet, it will be triggered. There are times that i go-walking is followed
by exercise—4 minutes of exercise every day.]

5. How do you define a healthy lifestyle, and do you feel you are currently living one?

It is a process that requires you to go through balancing and nutrition foods. like eating
vegetables and fruits. Choosing the right food to eat is part of having a healthy lifestyle. Yes, I
am currently doing it regularly because health is wealth.
