Assemble LAN Cables
Instructions

By using a LAN cable, you can connect several computers/devices in a limited area such as
home, office, laboratory and office which can speed up and simplify your work

Required Tools :

 LAN Cable

 RG-45 Connectors

 Crimping Tool

 Cable Tester
Instructions :
1. Unroll the cable as needed, then carefully peel the end of the cable, about 2 cm. Do not
scratch or cut the inside of the cable.

2. Untwist the cable, straighten and sequence the cables according to the standard (this time I
will make Straight Through cables). Straight - Through cable ordering starts from left to
right, and the order is as follows:

 White orange
 Orange
 Green white
 Blue
 White blue
 Green
 Brown white
 Chocolate
3. After the sequence is according to the standard and the cable is straight, cut and flatten the
end of the cable using scissors (try to be straight). Verify the colors have remained in the
correct order. Ensure that the cut leaves the wires even and clean.

4. Insert the straight and parallel cable into the RJ-45 connector. Be careful not to bend the
wires while pushing them in or you run the risk of creating a bad cable. NOTED:make sure
all the cables have entered the inner end.

5. Clamp the cable and RG using crimping tools until you hear a crackling sound and make
sure all the pins (brass) on the RJ-45 connector have “clamped” each cable.
6. After finishing on one end, do it again on the other end of the cable.
7. Test the cable using the Cable Tester. If all the lights on the cable tester are on, it means
your LAN cable is plugged in properly.
