Experiment No. 01
Theory:
What is RJ45:
A registered jack (RJ) is a standardized physical network interface for
connecting telecommunications or data equipment. The physical
connectors that registered jacks use are mainly of the modular connector
and 50-pin miniature ribbon connector types. The most common twisted-
pair connector is an 8position, 8-contact (8P8C) modular plug and jack
commonly referred to as an RJ45 connector.
An 8-pin/8-position plug or jack is commonly used to connect computers
onto Ethernet-based local area networks (LAN).
Two wiring schemes–T568A and T568B–are used to terminate the
twisted-pair cable onto the connector interface.
This can be done with one, simple to use, tool known as RJ-45 crimping
tool. It is recommended to use the 3-in-1 tool so that you can strip, cut,
and crimp all with the same tool. You may need to use a standard wire
cutter to get the proper length of cable at the end. You want just enough
slack so the cable is not too tight but does not have too much excess
hanging down either.
Conclusion: Thus, we have studied the use of crimping tool for RJ-45
