the Kalina campus of the University, at 3:30 p.m. on August 12, 2021. The agenda is

Minutes of the Second Meeting of the Examination Committee held at the Kalina
campus of the University [Vidya Nagari, Kalina, Santacruz East, Mumbai, 400098] at
3:30 p.m. on August 12,2021.

2.01 Confirmation of the minutes of the last meeting


The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved by the members and signed by
the chairperson and secretary.

2.02 Discussing the issue of how to conduct examination of final year of computer
engineering
Final year examination will be of 100 marks and 3 hours duration. Three sets of question
papers will be set by examiners in the format adopted in the end semester examination of
the University. Director will decide the final question paper from one of the three papers
as final. Hall ticket will be issued by Director office.

2.03 Suggesting methods for surveillance of the examination


The Director suggested that proctor software should be used while giving exams and
suggested some software’s. Mrs. Ishika Shetty and Mrs. Erina Menzes have been tasked
to find the best proctor and report back to the committee by the next meeting.
Malpractices will be dealt by the disciplinary committee set by the Director once the
examination is over.

2.04 Planning the marking of practical examination


There is a minimum requirement of 75% attendance to take both internal and external
examination. Marks will be assigned as follows: 5% for Viva, 5% for regularity, 5% for
Journal, 15% for practical examination.

2.05 Paper checking pattern


Mr. Tanay Mistry will give a list of examiners who will set and assess external papers.
Each paper will be assessed twice and higher marks will be given to student. If there is a
greater variation in both assessments, a third evaluation will be conducted. This decision
is taken by Director. No re-evaluation will be done.

2.06 Finalizing the dates of declaration of results


The committee unanimously decided that results would be declared 20 days after the
results.

2.07 Finalizing the examination fees


The committee unanimously decided that no extra fees will be charged upon the existing
examination fees. Any further discussion will be taken in the next academic year.

2.08 Vote of thanks


The chairperson addressed all the members present and gave the vote of thanks.
