I am by direction to inform you that the Common Entrance Test for Admission to Ph.D. Programme
will be held on 08.02.2020 at 10.30 am in Engineering Block, Vels Institute of Science, Technology
& Advanced Studies (VISTAS) Pallavaram, Chennai- 117. Candidate should come to university at
9:30am to receive the hall ticket.

1. Duration of Written Examination: 1 Hour

2. Examination Pattern: (Syllabus CSE Subjects)
Objective type questions - 70 questions [70x 1 mark each = 70 marks]

Sl. Type of Test Maximum Marks

1. Written Test 70
2. Oral Interview 30
Total 100

3. After the Written Test, Oral Test will be conducted on the same day by the Departmental
Research Committee.

4. Candidate Should Bring Photocopies of Degree Certificates, Mark sheets and TC (from 10th to
PG), Community Certificate and 2 copies of Passport Size Photo, No objection Certificate from the
Working Organization.
