1.1 INTRODUCTION

The healthcare industry faces significant challenges in obtaining reliable and up-to-
date medical information. Medical Experts, especially doctors, often spend a lot of
time researching on thrhe Internet and analyzing the information they receive. To
solve this problem, we are developing MedCare, a HTML, CSS, Java Script &
PHP based GUI application with splendid & accurate database connectivity,
designed to give doctors quick and reliable access to medical experts. Our main
goal is to reduce inefficiencies and improve health.

1.1.1 BACKGROUND OF STUDY

A background study for MedCare would involve researching the current state of
medical field and identifying the challenges in obtaining up-to-date & accurate
medical information. This would include analyzing the current state of the medical
field, advancements made in the field & how well does our project blend in the
field to help & aid the expertise of doctors. Evaluating the technological growth
taken place in the field of Medicine from the past era to current. . The study would
also consider the need for doctors to obtain reliable & accurate medical data to
provide better care to patients overall.. Additionally, it would involve identifying
potential updates & features which will be added to the MedCare website, such as
its combination with EHR or use of Real-Time Data.

1.2 Problem Definition.

It's crucial to have access to reliable and accurate medical information in today's
digital era, as it directly impacts people's health and well-being. However, with the
abundance of medical data available, it can be overwhelming and lead to
misunderstandings and false information. Such incidents have been frequently
reported doctor’s lack of knowledge or negligence led to a patient’s unfortunate
demise. The issue at hand is the fragmented nature of medical data and the absence
of a centralized, trustworthy, and user-friendly platform that provides effortless
access to a broad spectrum of medical information.

Such incidents and riots can be handled effortlessly by the put forth Medcare. It
can also allow medical professionals, especially doctors attain accurate &
proficient data, instead of having to turn up internet to obtain data.

1.3 Significance of Study / Project Justification.

The main functionalities MedCare provides are:

 Provides an efficient way for doctors to obtain verified & accurate data,
eliminating their need to scour the internet, wasting their time & indirectly
affecting patient health.

 Medcare is created as a combination of HTML,CSS & Java Script with the

use of PHP for database connectivity.

 We aim to further improve this application by adding Machine Learning

aspects such as Prediction systems.

 These are a few crucial points MedCare emphasizes on:

i. Decreasing the time-consumption required in obtaining data or

researching.

ii. Medical professionals will be provided with up-to-date & latest

information

The MedCare project we have created is justified by the need to provide reliable,
user-friendly, and centralized medical information. In the era where maintaining
welfare & good-health is of utmost importance, access to precise and current
medical information is crucial. MedCare addresses & aims to provide trustworthy
resource for individual. With the proliferation of online health information, there is

a growing concern about the accuracy and credibility of sources. MedCare aims to
fill this gap by offering a platform where users can find verified medical data,
informed decision-making and promoting better health outcomes.

The Tools & Technologies used are:

4.0 Literature Review

A literature review for on the project of MedCare involves analyzing academic

articles, reports, and other relevant literature on the topic. The review would cover
a range of issues such as the benefits and drawbacks using MedCare, the
technological growth and The review would also include studies Finally, the
review would identify gaps in the existing literature and suggest areas for further
research..
