Notice:

MG380_X380 AAS upgrade kit part number is 290078240G

X252_Mercury AAS upgrade kit part number is 290090100G. Most of the parts are same as

290078240G, but it does not have Fire Alarm Power Cable (Parts list #03 above) and have an extra AC

Cable 130cm (part number: 209022060G)

2. Installation
2.1. Remove the X motor anti-dust cover by loosening its two M3*6 screws and remove the carriage
anti-dust cover by loosening its two M3*6 screws (refer to the picture)。

2.2. Remove the Holder Board of Carriage Assist Base with two M3*6 screws (red circle) and two M3*8
screws(blue circle)。

2.3. Remove auto focus cable (blue arrow), install the Flat Cable (Parts list #01) (red arrow)

2.4. Fix protection chain on the Holder Board of Carriage Assist Base (Parts list #13) with two M3*6 screws
(red circle) and two M3*8 screws (blue circle). Plug the Flat Cable (Parts list #01) (red arrow) onto AAS
I terminal board Module (Parts list #28)

2.5. Fix the AAS Module (Parts list #29) on the X-rail with two roller screws (red arrow). Remove the
original X axis detector from A to B (red circle and blue arrow).

2.6. Fix the AAS module on the carriage with two M3*6 hex screws (red circle). Plug the AAS cable to AAS
I terminal board Module (Parts list #28) (red arrow).

2.7. Swap the original X Motor PCB with included X Motor PCB (Parts list #33) with two screws (red circle).

2.8. Put the M/B TO X Axis Cable 120cm (X PCB side) (Parts list #05) through the protection chain.

2.9.1. Machine with Old mainboard (5206e mainboard)

Plug the M/B TO X Axis Cable 120cm (M/B side) (Parts list #05) (red circle) and the
M/B TO Y Axis Cable130cm (Parts list #04) (blue circle) onto mainboard

2.9.2. X380_X252_Mercury Machine with 5272 mainboard

Plug the M/B TO X Axis Cable 120cm (M/B side) (Parts list #05)(red arrow - AAS signal and blue
arrow - AAS detector ) and the M/B TO Y Axis Cable 130cm(M/B side) (Parts list #04) ,(blue circle -
AAS 12V) to mainboard.

For X380 Hybrid AAS

The M/B TO X Axis Cable 120cm (M/B side (05)) need to remove the black and white

wires first(see below image).

2.9.3. MG380 Machine with Old mainboard (5206e mainboard)

Connect the black and white wire into X380 Hybrid JP43 pin (see below two images, the left
is Hybrid original cables, the right image is the black and white wires have connected to
JP43 pin).

2.9.4. MG380 Machine with 5272 mainboard
Connect the black and white wire into X380 Hybrid JP43 pin (see below two images).

2.10. X380_MG380, Plug the Fire Alarm Power Cable (Parts list #03) on to 12V PCB (red arrow).

2.11. For X380_MG380, Pull M/B to Y Axis Cable (Parts list #04) from mainboard to table through the
hole showing as below picture (red square).

For X380_MG380, the Fire Alarm Power Cable(Parts list #03)(red arrow) to the
Y PCB. Plug the M/B TO Y Axis Cable 130cm (Parts list #04) (blue circle),
Jumper (Parts list #06) (red circle).

2.12. For X252_Mercury, Plug the M/B TO Y Axis Cable 130cm (Parts list #04) (blue circle below_the Red
wire connects to V+, the Black wire connects to V-). Connect the AC power cable(209022060G_the two red
circles below_Blue wire to L, Grey wire to N, Green wire to ground).

12. Swap the original rulers with the included new type. (Parts list #30 and #31)
