Following the tutorial and using the recommended yarn, your finished cushion will measure approx. 19”(48cm) circumference and is approx. 5”(12.5cm) deep. Example: (sc inc) means 2sc worked in to one stitch. (3sc) means 3sc in the same stitch. (3sc) x 2 means 3sc in each of the next 2 stitches. Alternate: (sc inc) and 2sc x 3 means work 2sc in the Same stitch and then 1 sc each in the next 2 stitches. Then repeat the 2 steps 2 more times. Pink: 900g Darning Needle: Fiber fill also known as Toy stuffing: approx. 150g Below is showing the colors and brands that | have used. However you can use any colours and brand of Chunky yarn or wool of your choice. Ch4, slst in to the first ch to form a ring. Etsy, Ravelry Original design by Pippa Patterns 2017 6 Rese Cushion Hase Assembly Place the top part inside the back part with the good sides on the outside (p2). The top part is the one with the loop rounds. Stitch through both parts between round 4 and 5 where you have 48 stitches (with same color as cushion). Start from the base and emerge at the top. Just feed the yarn in and out spanning over 2 stitches each time to hold the center part together (p3/4/5). Repeat to cover the stitches in between (p6/7). Fold the edges of both parts away from you until you can see the loops of round 11 of both parts. Insert the hook through one of the loops of both parts (p8). Continue to close and stuff bit by bit to the end (p3/4). You may sew the last few stitches together. Finally fold the outer edges back together and repeat to crochet and stuff bit by bit again to complete the base of the cushion (p5/6). Rnd.1: chs Skip1 Asc 4hdc (Shdc) last chain Place stitch marker in the 3% hdc. (p3) This will be the centre stitch. Pull tail tight. Going down the other side, 4hdc Asc (1sc, Ande, 1sc) in the skipped chain from the beginning, Place marker in the hdc. This will be the base chain (p4/5). Add the yarn in the base chain where the marker is. Crochet together. chi 46sc (2sc ch1, 2sc) center 46sc slst in the base chain Original design by Pippa Patterns 2017 B Rose Cushion Medium Petal - Make 6 parts for 3 Petals Work as large petal - Round 1—7. At the end of round 7, sist in to the base chain. Crochet 2 parts each together with sc, working (2sc ch1, 2sc) in to the center stitch. Small Petal - Make 6 parts for 3 Petals Work as large petal- Round 1-5. At the end of round 5, slst in to the base chain. Crochet 2 parts each together with sc, working (2sc ch1, 2sc) in to the center stitch. Gorcha Putal — Make 2 parts for 1 Petals Work as large petal - Round 1-4. At the end of round 4, sist in to the base chain. Crochet the 2 parts together with sc, working (2sc ch1, 2sc) in to the center stitch. Facebook, Etsy, Ravelry Original design by Pippa Patterns 2017 Rose Cushion Attacking the Small Petals All 3 small petals will be attached in the 1* loop round where we have 12 loops as shown in (p1). Sew the base of the 1st petal with 4 stitches in to 4 loops of the base with the same color yarn as the petal (p2), | used red for better visibility. Sew the next petal straight in to the next 4 loops. Repeat until all 3 petals are attached (p3). Abstacking the Medium Petale Attach the 3 medium petals to the 2"? loop round where we have 24 loops. Place the 1* petal in between 2 of the small ones, see (p1). *Sew with 6 stitches to 6 loops (p1 insert). Weave the yarn through the next 2 loops* (p2). Repeat **2 more times (p3). Facebook. Etsy, Ravelry Original design by Piopa Patterns 2017 Rose Cushion. Attacking the Large Petals Attach the 6 large petals to the 3 loop round where we have 36 loops. Place and sew the 1° petal behind one of the medium petals as shown in (p4). Note that the widest part of the medium petal is covering the 1‘ two rounds of the center of the large petal (p1). Sew each petal with 6 stitches to 6 loops (p1 insert). Arrange the petals as shown in (p2/3) with each edge overlapping the next petal in the same direction. 7 Facebook, ftsy, Ravelry Original design by Pippa Patterns 2017 Astacking the Corelle Petal Fold the corolla petal as shown in (p1/2). Sew the lower half together (p3/4). Bring the needle and yarn out at the base (p6). Stitch through the starting ring in the middle of the base and pull tight from the back (p7/8). Secure at the back of the cushion by stitching repeatedly through the start ring (p9). Hide the tail in the cushion. Pull the petals up a bit and place the edge of each petal over the edge of the next petal in the same direction (p1). Stitch from the back through both petals and back in 1 stitch further down (p2/3). Tie a couple of knots. Hide the tails in the petal (p4/5). Repeat with the other 2 small petals. The petals should now be raised as in (p6). Facebook, Etsy, Ravelry Original design by Pippa Patterns 2017 aa Rose Cushion Reising the Medium Pe ls Again, pull the petals together and place the widest part of each petal over the last 3 rounds of the next one. Place the stitch in the area shown in (p1). As before place the overlapping edges of the other 3 petals in the same direction as the 1* one (p2/3). Regising the Large Potale Attach the widest part of each petal to round 7 of the next one as shown in (p1 yellow arrow). As a guide, there should be approximately 20 visible stitches of the top edge of the partly hidden petal (p1 red arrow). 20 Facebook, Etsy, Ravelry Original design by Pippa Patterns 2017 Rose Cushion ug the Large Petals te the edge of the base. Place one of the petals flat over the cushion. Press your finger on the petal so you feel the edge of the base (p1). Fold back (p2). Feed yarn through 1 of the loops of the base and stitch through the petal and back down and through the loop beside the first (p3/4). Secure with a couple of knots (p5). Place another fixing stitch at the point where 2 petals overlap (p1), Stitch through both petals (p2). Repeat with the other 5 overlaps. Finally weave the yarn approx. 2 stitches apart between the edge of the base and the under part of the petals all around the cushion (p3/4).
