Difference Equation

• equations involving differences of inputs and outputs

• three points of views
– sequence of number
– discrete dynamical system
– iterated function

Difference equation - is a sequence of numbers that generated

recursively using a rule to relate each number in the (output) sequence to
previous (output) numbers and input numbers in the sequence.
