hello everyone, I am Arvin James Llagas, a grade 11 student.
I am here to give emphasis to Gender Discrimination in Women
GENDER DISCRIMINATION IN WOMEN
These days, Gender discrimination is very evident, especially here in
the Philippines where everyone sees men and women as unequal. It became a matter to most Filipino to the fact that it became the talk of the town. Most of the time, people tend to see that men are more capable to do a lot of things than women. It is the reason why Gender discrimination is very evident in the everyday life of people.
In terms of gender, women tend to receive or treat this so-called gender
discrimination. It is because of the saying that women are weak and men can do a lot of things than women. In fact, women are not weak because some of them are independent and who tend to fight for their rights and what is right. Women and children experience gender discrimination in different aspects. Some of the experiences they had are restricted access to education, a lower standing in society, less freedom to make decisions around their personal and family life, and lower wages for the jobs and work they do. Women are treated unequally not just in their homes or way but also in their work even though to be treated equally is a human right.
In other countries, women cannot decide for themselves, especially if they
are married. They are also not allowed to work and just stay at home and be the wife every man dreamed of. Women became slaves most of the time to the fact that they are also being harassed just because they are WOMEN. They also experience being disfavored in a lot of things. My initial reaction to this is I was disappointed because all of us even boys or girls are from a mother. A mother who brought us for 9 months and a mother who gave birth to us. Women can also do a lot of things that men cannot do. It is to give birth. Those things that people think women cannot do were skills that can be learned. Women can learn after all. Women are still women even without men. Women in general are capable of more things than we actually think. Although women experience gender discrimination, they are strong emotionally and physically. In this generation, women tend to see their worth wherein they are pursuing what job they want and they can decide for themselves. They are working for themselves. Some are studying to be a professional not to be house-wife material. We, as a man and a people, should treat women right like our mother treats us and because it is what is right. Women deserve all the love in the world. Our actions toward women reflect about who we are as a husband because I believe in the saying that men of quality respect women’s equality.
