Correlations Between COVID-19 and Dengue” has been accepted for publication in Nature
Scientific Reports. During the summer 2023 I’ll be in Paris, partly as a visiting member of the
Institut Henri Poincare. In the last decade I have mentored several students at different levels, and
more recently, I have slowly started to build a research group at UIC working on geometric problems
in the interface of mathematical physics, string theory and other areas of science. In particular, I’ve
been interested in creating different types of vintage patterns that can be used for home design.
During the Spring 2023 I am a Visiting Fellow at All Souls College, Oxford, and a visiting member
of the Mathematical Institute, at the University of Oxford. Whilst exploring a magic tree in a
mathematical adventure, Ene finds the soon to be hatching eggs and a new friendship is born. With
creativity and curiosity, Ene is able to bring happiness to the house whilst learning all about
carpenters, chefs, and artists. Sonia Kovalevsky, who lived in the 19th century, became the first

create, trade and collect art at organized “swap” events, either in person or online. A thrilling journey
of self-discovery that teaches children the importance of having the courage to follow their dreams
and to become their best selves. Finally, I’ve recently started experimenting with AI inspired art. The
movement took off, and today, there are ATC swaps in almost every major city around the world.

several transformations on their journey to become a star in the sky. From the gentle pitter-patter of
raindrops to the shattered pieces of broken art, Roku discovers that even the most mundane moments
can hold magic and wonder. I was then a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Heidelberg in
Anna Wiennhard’s group, and the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in Steve Bradlow’s
group.
