CONSULTANCY SERVICES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A NATIONAL TOURISM MASTERPLAN

The Government of Zimbabwe has received funding from the African Development Bank (AfDB) towards the
cost of the Youth and Tourism Enhancement Project, and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this
grant to payments under the contract for consultancy services in the development of a National Tourism
Masterplan.

The services included under this project are to develop a clear and concise National Tourism Masterplan. It
will provide direction to product development and diversification, infrastructure development, manpower
development, community participation, preservation of nature, culture and heritage, marketing and
promotion strategies, among others.

The estimated period of execution is seven (7) months and work is expected to commence in August 2014.

The Government of Zimbabwe, through the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development now invites
eligible consultancy firms to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultancy firms
must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of
similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills, etc.). Consultancy firms
may constitute joint –ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the
African Development Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants” September2010, revised
July 2012, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
