Forensic chemistry is a field of chemistry concerned with the chemical examination of evidence

discovered at crime scenes as well as any other substance that may have been utilized in the
commission of a crime. Without forensic chemistry, we would not be able to determine the
outcome of a crime. The role of a forensic chemist is to investigate evidence from a crime
scene, including when it occurred and, in certain cases, who committed the crime. That is why
we want to investigate the criminal case because we want to identify the suspect and ensure
that the victim receives justice. Forensic chemistry is extremely significant in contemporary
culture since it has dramatically increased the efficiency of crime solving, and by using this
method, we can typically achieve equality by performing processes for gathering data at a
crime scene in order to avoid pointing the wrong suspect. Because of technology, forensic
chemistry can analyze chemicals retrieved after a fire to discover the chemical makeup of the
accelerant used to ignite the fire, and they use techniques such as color testing, UV
spectrophotometry, gas chromatography, and microcrystalline analysis.
