A RETOLD STORY

BY LEVY CLAIR BATO

A long time ago, a lion was deeply sleeping inside the jungle
when suddenly a little mouse started messing around his body.

Zzzz…Zzzz
…Zzzz…
This disturbed the lion’s sleep and he woke up quite angry.

How dare you

wake me up?!
I'm going to
eat you up!

Please, forgive me, oh

King of Animals. I didn’t
mean to wake you up. I
was just playing!
He was about to eat the mouse when the mouse desperately
requested the lion to set him free.

Please, oh King of
Animals! Let me go and I
promise you, I will be of
great help to you
someday.
The lion laughed at the mouse confidence and let him go.

HAHAHA!...
Alright, I will let you
go since you would
be such a tiny morsel
anyway!

Thank you!
The next day, a hunter came into the forest and setup a trap near
the lion’s lair.
The lion was prowling around, when he got caught in the trap. He
was struggling to get out and started to whimper.
Luckily, the same little mouse was passing by and noticed the lion
in trouble. Quickly, he ran and gnawed on the ropes to set the lion
free.

Thank you little

mouse! You save me.
From that day on, the lion and the mouse became good friends.
