English report writing

News report:
-News reports, like news articles,give information about a subject or the news.
Unlike an article, they will not include opinions and arguments.
-In the report, you should include a summary of the event, background information
and consequences (this can be speculative, the response of those involved or
include
recommendations)
-In the introduction of the report, summarise the event briefly.
-The following questions may be answered: Who? What When? Where? How? and
Why?

Formal reports :
-The purpose of a formal report is to give an account of an accident or an incident, to
keep as a record for further action.
- The audience of a formal report is a person in an official position, such as a police
officer.
-They should include ordered facts and exact details, with a clear, ordered structure.
-They usually explain an event or experience in a logical or chronological order.
-The language used should be clear, formal and objective (without bias or opinions).
-They should not include creative or figurative language.
