ADMS 3530 – Winter 2024 –Detailed Course Schedule (Jan 1)

Important Notes:
1. Learnsmart (Smartbook) Assignments (LS) – offered through McGraw Connect
They are worth a total 10% of the course grade and made up of both conceptual and calculation-
based questions. These assignments are designed to be done before your lecture, so you are
prepared to work through materials and problems presented in the lecture. Note some weekly LS
assignments have more than one part.

2. Online Quizzes – offered through eClass (3530 meta-site)

They are worth a total 10% of the course grade

3. Pay close attention to closing dates as once the Assignments and Quizzes close, they cannot be
re-opened.

4. Note that LS Assignments 1 and 2 have extended deadlines to accommodate students who enroll
late.

5. The Midterm Exams (2 @ 20% each) will be delivered in-person for all sections at York’s Keele
Campus.
• Midterm 1: Sunday Feb 11: 6pm to 8pm covering lectures 1 to 4.
• Midterm 2: Sunday March 17: 10am to Noon - covering lectures 5 to 8.

6. Final Exam (40%) – date and time to be scheduled by the Registrar’s Office during the final exam
week (April 10 to 26). The coverage is as follows:

- For students who do not miss any midterms, the final exam will cover:
• Approximately 20% of questions from Lectures 1 to 4
• Approximately 20% of questions from Lectures 5 to 8
• Approximately 60% of questions from lectures 9 to 12

- For students who miss one or both* midterms, the final exam will be longer and will cover:
• Approximately 70% of questions from Lectures 1 to 8
• Approximately 30% of questions from Lectures 9 to 12

*Reminder: Students who miss both midterms will forfeit one midterm grade (i.e. 20% course weighting)
