2. Function and Description
2.1 General
The Rapid Composting Machine (RCM) is designed to convert bio-degradable waste into
organic fertilizer in just five minutes and ready to be used in 2-3 days.

The material should be free from metal parts before the operation.

All internal materials are Rust proof, (Stainless Steel).

C
D

For Best Result, Biodegradable Waste e.g. Market Waste (Leftover, rotten and discarded vegetables,
fruits, fish leftovers), Garden Waste, Household Waste (food leftover) shall be first mixed with 10% coco
peat, 5% charcoal, water and bio-enzymes. Ratio may vary and can be adjusted to user’s satisfaction.
Mixed biodegradable waste is feed in HOPPER (A) and shall be pushed by SCREW CONVEYOR (B) straight
to SHREDDING CHAMBER (C), shredded waste shall be squeezed into the SQUEEZER ASSEMBLY (D),
moisture content can be controlled and adjusted by ADJUSTER (E).

ESWS BIOWASTE CONVERTER TECHNOLOGY is designed for continuous and rigid operation, easy to
maintain and easy to operate.
3. Safety system
The rapid composting machine’s Control Panel is enclosed in a water proof
casing and it also equipped with a safety shut-off to prevent motors from
burning.

Emergency Stop
The Machine is equipped with emergency stop located on the control panel.

Panel board equipped with

• Emergency stop
• Motor safety devices
4. Safety Rules
• Electrical installation must be done by a professional electrician.
• For servicing and maintenance, always disconnect the main power switch.
• Rotating parts like Shredder Blades can cause injury.

5. Installation
5.1 Pre-start checks
Position the machine level to the ground.
Check for foreign material inside the machine.
NOTE! DO NOT open the shredding chamber when the power is not
disconnected.
5.2 Electrical Connection
The Machine must be installed by our Technical Personnel or
Professional Electrician!
Check the direction of motor rotation:
• Make sure that the main switch is “On”
• Check if the emergency stop is not activated.
• Check if there is no foreign material in the hopper.
• Press “Start”
• Check if the squeezer shaft rotates in clockwise direction.
• (Rotation of the squeezer shaft must be clockwise)

If the motor rotates incorrectly:

• Press the stop button.
• Switch off the main switch.
• Interchange polarity of two incoming phases.

5.3 Starting Operation

• Check first for foreign material inside the machine.
• Switch on the Circuit Breaker
• Turn on shredding machine and run for at-least 30 sec.
• Place the mixed bio-degradable material in the hopper; let the shredder
runs for 2 min before turning on the squeezer assembly.
• Turn on the Squeezer.
• Moisture content of the byproduct can be adjusted by the squeezer
adjuster. (See general description item letter E).

6. Operation and Daily maintenance

6.1 Start and Stop
The main switch is located on the panel board.
NOTE! Do not turn off the machine until wastes has been shredded completely.
It may clog the chamber during re-start.
It may trigger the overloading circuit.

6.2 Inspection
There must be no material left in the chamber.
NOTE! All servicing must be done by trained personnel in order to avoid
personal injury and damage to the machine.

Daily Inspection
• Check the emergency stop function. Start all the motors and
Turn it off using the emergency stop.
• Check the Shredding chamber for leftovers and foreign
objects(metals/stone).
• Check if squeezer screens are not clogged.

Weekly inspection
• Check the electrical cables for wear and tear and other damaged.
(replace damaged cables immediately)
• Check the safety switch function (breakers and contactors)

Monthly inspection
• Check belts and chains.
• Lubricate all moving parts. (bearings, Pivots, fulcrums)
6. Stoppage and Overloading
NOTE! Before trouble-shooting/attending to mechanical faults and
maintenance works, switch “OFF” the Machine main switch.

Stoppage in screw conveyors

• If foreign materials are stuck between clearances of screw conveyor.

• Clean the hopper, blade housing and screen.
• Reset all the overload protection in the panel box and check for other
motor troubles.

Stoppage and Clogged shredding chamber

Check the cause of overfilling in the shredding chamber.
• Open the chamber covers
• If the shredder blade is jammed, use a wooden pole and carefully release
the cutter in reverse rotational direction.

NOTE! NEVER use metal objects to try to release a jammed cutter. This
can damage the blades, blade positions.

7. Cleaning
Clean monthly or at least once every 300 hrs

NOTE! When the hopper and screen is been opened for cleaning,
Turn OFF the Main Switch.

Be careful when accessing the blades, they are sharp and can cause
injury.

Opening and Cleaning.

1. Stop all motors of the machine
2. Switch “OFF” both the main breaker and panel switch
3. Loosen the shredding chamber bolts and pull backwards.
4. Lift the squeezer lid cover
5. Clean the inside part of the hopper.
6. Wash the machine using water.
7. Remove all debris inside the shredding chamber.
8. Check for gunk on the bearing holder.
9. Check for panels loosen conduits.
