Cush Agel – Lattice Surface

Specification
Cush.Cush’s Agel – Lattice surface collection is made up of carefully selected hand woven
natural Agel that has been machine pressed onto plywood backing and specifically finished to
form surfaces that is unique and contemporary.

Natural Agel fibre is derived from the leaves of the Palmea trees that have been dried and hand
processed into Agel threads and weaving. The finished Agel - Lattice surface has a slight relief
that is naturally formed by the hand woven Agel material. Agel - Lattice surfaces are supplied as
panels and finished products (tissue box, mirror frames, etc.).

The edges of Agel – Lattice surface is recommended to be capped / protected to prevent ends
of the Agel weaving from splitting in the long term. This may occur when the uncapped / un-
protected edges of woven Agel surface is exposed to constant usage.

The ‘textured‘ effect produced by the Agel – Lattice surface creates variations in tonality. These
produce natural shading that creates the beauty of this surface, and are not considered flaws.
Variations in color and tonality may occur within a single piece and between one piece and
another due to the irregular nature of natural agel material, and its hand weaving process. This
is the character and nature of this product.
