Project Summary

Job readiness skills are essential for people, especially fresh graduates and university students.
Job readiness skills cover how to prepare for job applications and how to use digital tools for the
workplace. It is obvious that most universities don’t offer job readiness skills to students
throughout their academic years. As a result, most students as well as fresh graduates probably
have a barrier when they apply for jobs due to lack of job readiness skills. This project targets
around 50 youths to offer these skills, including tips for applying for jobs and promoting their
digital literacy skills in the workplace.

Background

Amid the time of crisis, youths are struggling to apply for jobs. In some cases, they lose their
learning opportunities in their academic study after the coup. As time goes by, they reach a
certain age to start a career. However, they have considerable difficulty in seeking jobs and the
application process due to lack of job preparation skills. As a result, the rate of unemployment
has increased. In order to reduce this problem to an extent, “Get Ready for Job Applications”
webinar, focusing on writing a strong CV and dos and don’ts in the interview process will be
conducted for youths, who are in the job hunting stage. In addition, digital skills are important in
the workplace. So training for how to use digital tools for the workplace will also be provided for
them since it crucially plays in their job application process.

Objectives

This webinar and training aim to help youths who are in preparation of applying for jobs and
guide them in their job applications so that they will get their desired jobs. Additionally, they will
get training for using digital tools: gmail, google docs and google sheets.

Intended project results

The employment rate can be promoted through this project, which makes a good impact on the
economy. This project will indirectly improve youths’ physical and emotional well-being because
they can improve their quality of life through working and continuous learning in the workplace.
