Today I will tell you the best news you few days off from work.
rk. Some people even
can ever hear in your life. Actually not only
today but from the day you have been born
till the day you die this will be the best news
you can ever, ever hear. Do you know why?
Because this news I am going to tell you
about is going to bring you from death to
live.
And this news is about 4 events, 3 days,
2 truths and 1 person
Just last week we have celebrated
easter, here there was a nice party, we had
great food and wonderful time together, we
laughed together, celebrate together we en-
joyed our time together. But the question is
why we did it? In this country most of the
people link easter with eggs, bunnies or with
say, we cannot wait for easter to come to
get few days of holidays.
However easter is not about eggs and
bunnies or days off it is about a person and
this person is called Jesus Christ.
In fact the entire life of Jesus, all his mira-
cles, everything he said everything he did,
all his ministry was a preparation for 3 days
Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
And this morning, I want to remind you
what happened in these 3 days. Let us turn
to
1 Corinthians 15:1-2 - Apostle Paul is writing
to the church in Corinth to remained them
the Gospel. Gospel means the good news.
The reason Paul wants to remained the good
news to the church in Corinth is that they
have to hold holding to the Gospel in order
to get saved , otherwise their faith is in vain
or useless.
In the same way this morning I want to
remained you the good news, which took
place in 3 these days, that you may hold
firmly to it and get saved.
In the these 3 days the world most im-
portant 4 events took place.
According to the v3-5 from our passage
Christ died for our sins, he was buried, he
was raised in the 3rd day and he appeared to
people.
4 events took place in 3 days regarding 1
person.
Jesus Christ died, buried, raised and ap-
peared.
While Jesus was living on earth he had
faced unbearable pain and suffering. If we
want to talk about suffering then we have to
look at the life of Jesus and see what kind of
suffering he had faced.
He was mocked stripped in front of ev-
erybody., ashamed, embarrassed. The sol-
diers twisted together a crown of thorns and
set it on his head…
They put a staff in his right hand and
then took the staff and struck him on the
head. They spat on his face and at the end
they crucified him and died in one of the
most painful and cruel death in his time,
why?
Why did Jesus had to go trough all this
suffering and pain at the end he didn't do
anything wrong? Bible tells us he was sin-
less and righteous, there was no evil in him.
Why he had to experience such a painful
death? Let me tell you why?
Jesus tells us that no one has a power
to take his life , but he lay his life willingly
because of you and me! Because trough his
death and suffering you and I get forgive-
ness of our sins and by receiving forgiveness
we get to inherit eternal life. … (perhaps ex-
plain sin)
However Jesus didn't remain death, if
he would of remain death then today we
would of followed and worship a death per-
son. But Jesus’s tomb is empty, do you know
why, because he raised from the death.
Jesus concurred the death and this is
the hope of every christian as Christ raised
from the death one day we are going to raise
from the death and spend eternity with God.
Brothers and sisters these 4 events that
took place in history are not fairy tail it is
not a man made events. These are real his-
torical events. And this morning we are go-
ing to look at two different evidences or
truths about this events.
These truths or evidences have taken place
before the 4 events and after the 4 events.
 The first truths about death and resur-
rection of Jesus is the scripture
v3-4 that Christ died for our sins according
to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that
he was raised on the third day according to
the Scriptures
The first witness about Christ death and
resurrection is the Almighty God himself.
And where do we read about the death and
resurrection of Christ in previous scripture.
Actually in the OT -tevrat , zebur and
the books of the prophets there are over 300
prophesies about the coming Messiah,
where he will be born how he will live how
he will die etc.
- Bible is not an ordinary book
- We will not have time to look at them all
today but let us look only one
Isaiah 53:9-11…
The first truth about Jesus’s death and res-
urrection is God himself.
The second truth or evidence is the eye-
witnesses. The church in Corinth believed
that Christ died on the cross but they did not
believe that he raised from the death.
- Everybody knew who when christ died
That is one of the reasons why apostle
Paul is writing this letter to them. He is chal-
lenging the Corinthian Christians about the
resurrections of Christ
v6-8 read - explain
there were not ordinary people - pillars of
the church-trustworthy
As I said in the beginning this is the most im-
portant news you can ever hear in your life.
Christ suffered, died and raised from the
death for you personally that you by believ-
ing in him have eternal life.
This morning you and I are faced with
two choices. Either we reject the good news
we live our life as we know is the best and
die in our sins and the result will be eternal
separation from God, which Bible calls hell
or we respond positively to the good news
we hold firmly to the Gospel, we get forgive-
ness of our sins and get eternal life. - both
are eternal
Who is the risen Christ for you this
morning?
Maybe for some of us this morning the rissen
Christ is someone who is out of our life
- Who is Christ - I can do whatever I want - I
never seen christ
For Some of us the risen Christ in our lives
but it doesn't take the central part of our life
It is there but on the side or the corner
- We may say aa of course I follow Jesus, I
pray to Jesus - I go to church
- But at the end I make my choices I make
my own decision
- I have Christ in the corner of my life and
whenever I need him I can just call him
and he is there and will help me. If the risen Christ is not in your life and you
want to invite him in your heart, you can do
- But at the end I am gonna live my life as I
so by a simple prayer. By telling to Jesus to
want
come to your heart, to forgive your sins and
make a person according to his heart. Or
For some of the risen Christ takes the cen-
come and talk to me or pastor Charles or

- Christ is the centre of all the decisions we
make
If risen Christ is in the corner of your life.
