Inferred

1. How would you describe the character of Puck? Use evidence from the text to
support your claims.

I think puck is disrespectful and takes pleasure in the suffering of others, for example,
Into a baked wild apple that hides in a long-tongued woman's wine bowl, and when
she drinks, pops up to her lips and spreads ale on the skin of her parched throat.

2. Does your opinion of Helena change when she rebuffs Demetrius’s threats with
witty word play?

Not really, I still think she's a stupid person, even though she's been pursuing him
relentlessly, she puts love first and has no regard for friendship, and told Demetrius
about Hermia's plans earlier, I think she's stupid for not caring about anything else in
favour of love

3. What is the important about the fact they have left the City?

I think Athens depicted as a place of civilization and have order, the woods
depicted as wildness and chaos.

4. What is ironic about Lysander’s last words to Hermia before he falls asleep?

I think snake always depict a person that is cunning and deceitful and danger, so I
think it is not appropriate to speak like this to his lover.

5. How do you feel about Helena when she speaks of being Demetrius’s “spaniel.”?

I think it is very painful to describe herself as a person’s spaniel, she expresses her
unwavering devotion to Demetrius, even in the face of mistreatment. Like a loyal dog, she’ll
continue to follow him.
6. Do you think it is merely a product of when the play was written, or do you think
it still reflects something you recognize today?

The book does reflect modern life, like the relationship of Helena and Demetrius,
sometimes sincere and not also gain the sincere, and personal sacrifice also may not gain any
sincere.

7. Why might Shakespeare have written it was a snake that Hermia dreamt about?

Snake always depict a person that is cunning and deceitful and danger, Shakespeare
may express Hermia, my losing her love in the future.

Thematic

What is the effect of the argument on the human world? Be thinking about the Chain
of Being and our understanding of the “real” world.

A poisonous mist was drawn up from the sea, which descended to the earth, and
caused every thin stream to flood over the land. The farmer sweats in vain, and the
green grain rots before it can be bearded. Empty sheepfolds are erected in the flooded
fields, and plague-dead flocks fatten the crows.

Just like the real world, there are always some unfair, high level of social status can
invisible control the life of people who are in social status, and use others pain for fun.

What is different about being in the woods for the characters?

Athens depicted as a place of civilization and have order, the woods depicted as wildness and
chaos, therefore, this is different for the characters.
