This story is historical fiction. The year is 1905 and telephones are appearing in homes
and businesses. The invention is revolutionary but sometimes there are mix-ups. Dr.
Ericksen gets a call about a sick patient at a farm. He rushes to the farm but there are no
sick people. He finds that the farmer wanted to call a veterinarian named Dr. Kerrigan
about a sick goat!
