What I Have Learned

Authors organize their information intentionally in an organized pattern called text structures. Common text structures
include introduction, body, and conclusion. It is important to understand text structure to empower you as a reader.

What I want to say about the lesson:

The lesson will helps us to in doing our jobs specifically our profession that includes reading and writing. It also makes
us to understand the difference between the different types of texts and its function. And also the proper of writing and
the insights about a particular type of academic text.

What I found out:

The lesson is quite hard since there many types of academic writing and so with the texts. But there are academic texts
that is easy to do specially the essay. I've found out that academic text is a written language that provides information,
which contain ideas and concepts that are related to the particular discipline. Example of these are essays, research
papers, research articles, dissertations, thesis, and technical reports. Essay is an argumentative text usually short.
Research paper is a longer essay involving library research. Research article is an essay written to be published in
scientific journals. Dissertations

TEXT REVISION
We use English as a medium of instruction, especially in English-related subjects. It has been an issue in
education. The effectiveness of conveyance determines the learning outcomes of
the students. Proficiency in English skills has been brought up
as a great determinant in becoming employed. English skills proficiency includes writing. Also, it includes
reading comprehension, and a good working vocabulary. This could be applied or used in practical working
environment such as writing communications, interpersonal activities and interpretation and relaying
instructions.
There are students who are really bad at grammar, so teaching grammar among students of English has
become more stressful over the years as both teachers and students face the need to constantly use varying
teaching styles and strategy to conform to the students’ learning styles.
Traditionally, English teachers would go all-out English in teaching grammar – any use of code-switching
was frowned upon. This is due to the belief that a student should adapt to the language even while learning
it.
