You are on page 1of 9

A set of 7 of the most popular classic story princesses.

These work as “3d Princess Doll” Paper

Toy or Christmas Ornament craft. A fun little princess craft that can be turned into a 3d Princess.
(A coloring page is also available in my store - The coloring page allows for customisation on hair
color and skin tone, so that students can personalise their dolls). This is a lovely little 3d craft that
works as a paper toy (fold the dress down, to pack away and take along) or is lovely as an
ornament – whether on a princess themed Christmas tree or as a little garland during a birthday
celebration.

How to make your 3d Princess Doll
Preparing the Princess. Color in the two princesses if
using the coloring page version.

Roughly, cut out the princesses, keeping them

connected, for easier gluing and less cutting later.

Fold the paper so that the two princess are back to

back. Hold against light, so you can make sure you
align them perfectly. Make a neat crease. Then open
the crease.

Add glue and the thread for hanging (if using as an

ornament). You can also “sew” on the thread at the
end. Your choice. Glue the two sides, back to back, together as neatly as possible.

Cut out the princess outline as neatly as possible (do

not accidentally cut the hanging thread off).

Cut out your circle for tracing.

Using your circle template, cut out 8 circles in the

desired skirt colour.

Fold the circles in half.

Add glue to one half of one circle and…

… place a second one on top. Glue FOUR circles

together. Make two sets of FOUR half circles stuck
together. One will be the front and one the back of
your doll.

Take one set of 4 half circles and place on top of

your Princess paper doll. Outline the top curve of
her dress with a pencil. Trim.

Trim the second set of 4 half circles in the same

way.

Open up one set of circles and glue it down on the

skirt of the princess. Trim the bottom. Repeat for the second set of circles and the other side of the princess.

Open up the skirt and your doll is finished.

If you didn’t add the thread for hanging, you can now sew on it on.
