Air Gap Tape Roofing Sheet Sound panel

Purlin 18 Gauge 3”x3” GI wire mesh Butt joint

Installation Guidelines
01. Lay 18 Gauge 3”x3” hot dip GI wire mesh over the purling
02. Gently pull the GI wire mesh and tight to purlin to avoid sagging
03. Lay Sound panel on the GI wire mesh across the purlin facing perforated aluminum foil side to roofing
sheet
04. Attach next panel by butt joining to the panel fixed
05. Seal butt joint using recommended Aluminum self –adhesive tape
06. Use air gap tape and laid over the sound panel along the purlin to get fine fixing effect and also create
air gap
07. Continue until full distance of roof sheet is covered
08. After installing roofing sheet on 1st area covered with sound panel proceed on the balance area as per
step 01 -07
Sound Panel Joining Methods
Butt Joint: This method is recommended to attach all sides of panel to next pane, joint shod be sealed with
aluminum self –adhesive tape

Sound Panel
General Information
01. Sound panel should always be installed on the inside of the structure.
02. Sound panel will not cure existing problems ,Leaking roofs, rat or mold situations or other moisture or
structural problems should be corrected before installation
03. Any deteriorated wirings should be replaced prior to installation of Sound panel
04. Do not paint on sound panel surfaces or allow it to be coated with liquid. Aluminum foil will not reflect heat
it painted
05. Store panels in a dry area, out of direct sunlight and do not remove outer packaging until ready to use
