Our world has more than 200 countries, so that’s not surprising

when a conflict between countries happens. The most recent one was
the Palestine-Israel conflict. It's been happening since the late 20th
century, one of the world's longest conflicts. Many have tried to resolve
this problem, but they can’t. Now Israel is having a conflict with Hamas,
a military group in Palestine because they “claimed” that is their land.
Therefore, they keep fighting until Israel gets Palestine’s land. But why
is all of this happening? That’s the question that will be discussed
throughout this paper(VOX,2023).
It had to do with their bad history with each other. Long story
short, in 1958, the land of Israel and Palestine were divided in 2 states,
the Jews on the Israeli side and Arabs on the Palestine side. The
Palestine side never registered as a country, so the Jews thought it’s
their land, so they kept fighting, they had 2 intifadas and the most
recent was in October 2023. Hamas landed bombs on a large festival in
Israel, killing nearly 1000 people, to free Palestine. So they have declared
war and are still fighting till today. (VOX,2023)
But what are the consequences to the world? First, their will be a
possible oil shortage, since Israel contained alot of oil and has been
providing for us. If the conflict continues, oil will rise in price rapidly.(The
conversation, 2023).
But what do globalists think about this?. According to the UN,
they are helping over 2.2 million people in the Gaza Strip and 500,000
in the West Bank by providing important resources. $1.2 billion will be
spent to help people around these areas. Mr Guterres, a secretary-
general from the UN said: “To stop the inhuman collective suffering and
dramatically expand humanitarian aid to Gaza” .(United Nation,2023)
What about a certain country? Lebanon, a country that is
affected by the conflict, is supporting Palestine. They expressed their
feelings by protesting about the Israel war. “I came to protest here
because America is supporting Israel,” someone said. According to
them, protesters are destroying the street, travel by vehicle to express
their rage at this conflict. (Aljazeera, 2023)
The solution? Global decided that the “two-state solution” will
separate Palestine and Israel into two countries. The other is “One-state
solution” ; they will merge together, no more wars and fighting. Two
governments will decide these two solutions, let’s hope that one of the
solutions will work and there will be no conflict(VOX, 2023).
In the end, there should be peace around this Earth, resources
are limited each year but we can help each other. We can help Africa
build well so they won’t dehydrate to death. Let’s do better things
instead of fighting.
