In the Womb Multiples

The documentary begins with an overview of the conception process, during which the
division and growth of cells that will eventually form the embryo and fetus begin inside
the fertilized egg. This documentary shows multiple pregnancies of three different
women. With the use of modern technology, scientists examined in detail the process of
their pregnancy. The first woman Rachel has fraternal twins which are a boy and a girl
followed by Jennifer having triplets two identical boys and one fraternal brother, lastly,
Julie has identical girl squads. Having these kinds of pregnancies is extraordinary
seeing the fetus grow and nurture each other, fighting with nourishment and space while
laying a foundation for a lifetime of work, comfort, and companionship.

I was really amazed watching the documentary, from a zygote to a fully newborn baby.
National Geographic uses a 4 - dimension that fascinates me more because I can
clearly see the changes in the fetus. One thing that I realized as I am watching the video
is that it is very fragile having multiple babies in the womb of a mom because there are
many complications and one of those is preterm labor and birth which the babies are
born before their bodies and organs systems have completely matured. It is really a
tough journey for a mom experiencing this but aside from it having a baby is very
exciting that you can see the moms in the video how much love shows and the fear that
how their pregnancies would turn out. Along the way, their babies were delivered safely
and sound.
