Cinderella: (singing) "A dream is a wish your heart makes, when you're fast asleep..."

(Enter Stepmother and Stepsister, mocking Cinderella.)

Stepmother: Cinderella, stop that nonsense and come here at once!

Stepsister: Yes, we have so much work for you to do!

Cinderella: (sighs) Yes, stepmother.

Stepmother: (as she exits) And don't you dare stop until everything is spotless.

Scene 2: The Royal Palace

(The Prince, his friend, the King, and his assistant are discussing the upcoming ball.)

Prince: I'm tired of these formal events, always the same faces. I wish for something new,
something... magical.

Prince's Friend: Maybe this year's ball will bring some excitement, my friend.

King: Son, it's time for you to find a bride. We're hosting a ball tomorrow night, and every
maiden in the kingdom is invited.

Prince: Very well, Father. I'll attend, but I won't promise anything.

King's Assistant: It will be a grand event, Your Majesty. The whole kingdom is looking forward to
it.

Scene 3: Cinderella's Transformation

(Cinderella is alone, looking forlorn.)

Cinderella: (sighs) Oh, how I wish I could go to the ball and escape this life...

(Suddenly, a bright light appears. The Fairy Godmother enters.)

Fairy Godmother: Fear not, Cinderella. Your wish shall be granted.

(She transforms Cinderella's rags into a beautiful gown and creates a carriage from a pumpkin.)
Fairy Godmother: Remember, dear, you must return before midnight, or the magic will fade
away.

Cinderella: Thank you, Fairy Godmother! I'll never forget your kindness!

Scene 4: The Royal Ball

(The ballroom is filled with nobles, and the Prince welcomes his guests.)

Prince: (to his friend) I wonder if tonight will be any different from the others.

(Enter Cinderella, escorted by the King's Assistant. She catches everyone's attention, including
the Prince's.)

Prince: Who is she? I must know her name!

Prince's Friend: It seems you've found your mysterious lady, my friend.

King: (watching with interest) She is certainly enchanting. Where could she be from?

Scene 5: Midnight Strikes

(Cinderella suddenly remembers the Fairy Godmother's warning.)

Cinderella: Oh no, it's almost midnight! I must go!

(She rushes out, leaving behind a glass slipper.)

Prince: Wait, please! Tell me your name!

(The King and his assistant watch in surprise.)

King: Who was that mysterious maiden? We must find out!

Scene 6: The Search for Cinderella

(The Prince, his friend, the King, and his assistant are determined to find the mysterious
maiden.)
Prince: We must find her! She's the one I've been searching for!
King's Assistant: We'll be scouring the entire kingdom for clues, Your Majesty.
Scene 7: Happily, Ever After
(They arrive at Cinderella's home, where the Stepmother and Stepsister try the slipper without
success.)
Stepmother: (frustrated) This slipper doesn't fit either of us!
Stepsister: (complaining) It's unfair! We want to try it again!
(The Prince recognizes Cinderella immediately as she steps forward.)
Prince: It's you! You're the one I've been looking for!
(With joy, the King and his assistant watch as the Prince places the slipper on Cinderella's foot,
and it fits perfectly.)
King: Then it's settled. You shall be my son's bride.
Cinderella: (excited) Thank you, Majesty!
