Formed Fibers: Anxious remedies through fiber arts.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
embroidery hoop
This design was drawn with a 6-inch hoop in mind, but it can be
scaled on your computer or tablet to fit any size!

scissors
For cutting thread -my personal belief is that embroidery is more fun
with cute & dainty scissors, but really any ole scissors will do!

embroidery needles
Embroidery/crewel needle: embroidery needles are thin and have
sharp points; I recommend any size between 5-10 for this project.
Large eye needle: just what it sounds like - a large eye needle has a
larger eye which can easily fit the thickness of yarn.

fabric - your choice!

I prefer linen and quilting-cotton fabrics. Muslin and canvas are also
good, strong fabrics to use. You just want to make sure your fabric
does not have too much stretch.

embroidery floss - color(s) of your choice!

I prefer to use DMC brand floss with 6 strands.

yarn - color(s) of your choice!

I find lace yarns and 100% cotton yarns are the easiest to stitch with.
The more fibrous yarns fray and catch more easily.

water soluble pen -or- heat sensitive pen

Pilot Frixion Erasable Pen is my pen of choice! It disappears with heat,
like from an iron or hair dryer.

STITCH Pro tip: Separate the strands of your floss to change the
thickness of your stitches.

GUIDE
I use one strand of floss for a thin & delicate line. The more
strands you use, the more bold the outline will become.
Using different numbers of strands for different parts of the
design can help to create a more dynamic look to your
completed project!
