savic-net FX Model Number Replacement Procedure

This manual describes the software option change by replacing the model number of the following components
of savic-net FX system.

- System Management Server-II / System Management Server-III (SMS-II / SMS-III hereinafter)


- Data Storage Server-II / Data Storage Server-III (DSS-II / DSS-III hereinafter)
- Management Integration Server / Management Integration Server-III (MIS / MIS-III hereinafter)

[Preparation]
- savic-net FX Model Number Replacement Procedure (This manual) 83173235-101
- savic-net FX SMS-ll/SMS-lll Software Replacement Kit (CD-R) 83167594-101
- savic-net FX DSS-ll/DSS-lll Software Replacement Kit (CD-R) 83167594-102
- savic-net FX MIS/MIS-lll Software Replacement Kit (CD-R) 83167594-103
- PC in which PET4FX is installed (hereinafter engineering PC).
Version of objective SMS/DSS/MIS is v36.20_XX or earlier.
-- Java VM version 1.4.2_08 should be installed.
-- PET4FX version v3.27.2 or later should be installed.

Version of objective SMS/DSS/MIS is v36.22_05 or later.


-- Java VM version 1.6 update 43 should be installed.
-- PET4FX version v3.27.2 or later should be installed.

[NOTE]

- Connect CD Drive to Engineering PC to read Software Replacement Kit CD-R.


- Be sure to use SMS-II and DSS-II with v12.02_03 or later version. Otherwise, confirmation of
model number distribution is not made in the version, v12.01_00 or before.
- In case of SMS-lll, SMS-ll is read as SMS-lll.(In case of DSS-lll, DSS-ll is read as DSS-lll. In case
of MIS-lll, MIS is read as MIS-lll.)
- According to the version of SMS/DSS/MIS, whether earlier than v36.20_XX or v36.22_05 or later,
the procedures are different.
- If the version of SMS/DSS/MIS is v36.22_05 or later, may need to work using PET4FX. Before
replacing model No. referring to AB-6566, check the operation method in advance.

Perform model number replacement as follows.


In case of MIS, carry out the model number distribution by following the procedure of SMS-II.

1. Model number distribution of SMS-II (or MIS)


Carry out the procedure by shifting the system to offline.

1-1. Shift to Offline

Check
Open the Maintenance Terminal.
Enter the SMS-II (or MIS) address.

And Click the [Maintenance Menu].

SMS-II: . . .

Click the [Controller operation].

Click the [Go Offline].

Go Offline confirmation dialog box will appear.

Click [Yes].

Wait until “Confirmation” message will appear.

Confirm if SMS-II( or MIS) is offline normally.

After click the [Check Controller Status], controller


status becomes “Offline”.

LED on SMS-II (or MIS) main unit turns to be “1”.

Exit the Maintenance Terminal.

1-2. Distribute the model number of SMS-II from CD-R

check
1. Insert CD-R (for SMS-II) which is enclosed in Engineering PC.
For MIS, use CD-R for MIS.
2. Display CD-R on Windows Explorer.

[Note] By default IP address of SMS-II (or MIS) is 192.168.30.81. If the IP address of SMS-II (or
MIS) for which model number has to be replaced differs, follow the procedure of 2-1.

2-1, Make a Folder on PC. Copy all files on CD-R to the Folder.
Display the Folder on Windows Explorer.
Display smsFTP.bat in Memo Pad. (For MIS, Display misFTP.bat in Memo Pad.)
Change the IP address portion to the IP address of targeted SMS-II (or MIS) and save it.
Edit and save this part.
ftp -s: ftp.txt 192.168.30.81
if exist fx_scsset.txt (if exist fx_scsticket_authentication.txt (ftp -s:ftp_scs.txt 192.168.30.81))

3, Double click the “smsFTP.bat”. For MIS, Double click the “misFTP.bat”.

As the message “Press any key to


continue” is displayed press Enter
key.

The dialog box will close.

1-3. Distribute the model number

Start the browser (IE), enter the URL of


SMS-II (or MIS) ”Engineering”.

Enter user name and password, and click


[OK].

User Name: usereng


Password: 123456

There are instances where this type of


dialog box may appear.
If it appears, select [Always].

(Once [Always] is selected, this dialog box


will not appear from next time onwards).

“Engineering” screen appears.

Distribute the model number of SMS-II (or


MIS).

For other settings, click [Select] of


“Distribution of model number information”.

Select dialog box will appear.

Click [Enter].

If model number distribution is successful,


dialog box closes and successful completion
message is displayed.

Check whether the actual model number


information has been updated.
Click “Model Number” tab.

Check whether model number distribution is


carried out normally from the following
information.
-Date of model number distribution.
-List of model number information.

Exit the browser (IE).

[Supplement] If you want to check the model number information of function unit, it is possible by following the
below procedure after shifting SMS-II (or MIS) to Online.

Start the browser (IE) and specify the URL


of SMS-II (or MIS) ”Engineering”.

Select the “Functional List” tab.

Check with model number information as an


actual function.

List of model number information as an


actual product function is displayed.

[NOTE]Further, the information of this


screen can be displayed only when
SMS-II (or MIS) is Online.

Exit the browser (IE).

1-4. Version 36.22_XX or later

For the following cases, you need to download the SMS file.
1. A SW optional function for the SCS control function (such as time program) is implemented additionally.
2. Six or more number of logins is implemented additionally by SMS function.

Download SMS / DSS file from the Engineering PC.

[CAUTION]
(1) On the Engineering PC, start BESS and then select the target job data.
(2) For the details of job data creation and file creation, refer to Engineering Manual.

Check
Start BESS.

Go to [Start] - [All Programs] - [PC


Engineering Tool for FX] - [BESS] -
[BESS].

Double Click [Menu].

[Note]
If a SW optional function for the SCS
control function (such as time program) is
implemented additionally, perform these
procedures. If it is not the case, skip these
procedures.

Double Click [Define model of center].

Select [savic-net FX2 (SMSIII/DSS-III)


(savc-net FX2 (MIS-III)) ].

Click [OK].

(Setting when affected:


BACnet Engineering setting)
[Note]
Only if six or more number of logins is
implemented additionally by SMS function,
perform these procedures. If it is not the
case, skip these procedures.

Double Click [BACnet Engineering].

Double Click [BACnet Engineering Tool].


Move the scroll bar until to display


"Scan Cycle from SMS/MIS" at Device
Management.

Select the combo box of Device for


SMS/MIS, and select "60."

[Note]
If SMS or MIS is configured redundantly,
set for both primary and secondary
SMS/MIS.

Check that "Scan all devices in 60


seconds" is displayed.

Click [OK].

Move downwards using the scroll bar.

Click [Other Setting] in the displayed


menu.

Click [SMS Engineering].

Check the “Operate file” check box.

Select SMS on the list.

Click [Operate file].

1-5. Shift to Online

Shift SMS-II (or MIS) to Online (warm start).

check
Open the Maintenance Terminal.
Enter the SMS-II (or MIS) address.
And click [Maintenance Menu].

SMS-II: . . .

Click “Off-line Menu” tab.

And click [Controller operation].

Click the [Restart the controller]

Click the [Warm] of initialize mode.

System start confirmation dialog box appears.

Click [Yes]

The “Confirmation” dialog box appears.

(Initial process continues even after the display of


dialog box, Please wait.)

1-6. Add menu by menu editor

In some cases, the function added by the model number add may not be displayed when the model number
add was completed and the monitoring screen was displayed.
If the case occurs, take the actions described in this section.
If the function added by the model number add is displayed, it is not required to take the actions. Proceed to
the next.

Check

Start the browser (IE) and specify the


URL of SMS-II (or MIS) ”Engineering”.

click [OK].

The Engineering page screen appears.

Select the [Engineering] tab, and then


click the [Select] button on the Menu
Editor.

Example 1) Display the function menu


added by model number add under the
existing category.

1-1)Define the category to be added


under the system menu.

E.g.) To add it under Fire Control of


Control, select "Control" then "Fire
Control".

1-2) Select the function to be added while


the category being selected.

Click the [Add] button.

List of the function appears.

1-3) Select the function added by the


model number add.

E.g.) To add Outdoor Air Cooling Control,


select the "Outdoor Air Cooling Control"
and then click the [Enter] button.

1-4) The selected function is added on


the Menu Editor. Click the [Save] button.

Example 2) To display the function menu


added by model number add under a
new category, add a category.

2-1) After selecting the system menu


item, click the [Add] button.

Example) To add it on the security menu,


select "Security".


2-2) Enter the menu category name and
click the [Enter] button.

E.g.) To add the "Report Management"


menu, type as "Report Management".

2-3) The selected function is added on


the Menu Editor.

Click the [Save] button.

Close the dialog box and the "System


menu save was successful." message as
on the left hand appears.

Restart the IE, login the monitoring screen.


Check that the screen added on the menu is displayed.

2. Model number distribution of DSS-II


Carry out the procedure by shifting the system to offline.

2-1. Shift to Offline

Open the Maintenance Terminal.
Enter DSS-II address.
And click the [Maintenance Menu].

DSS-II: . . .

Click the [Controller operation].

Click the [Go Offline].

Go Offline confirmation dialog box will appear.

Click [Yes].

Wait until “Confirmation” message will appear.

Confirm if DSS-II is offline normally.

After click the [Check Controller Status], controller


status becomes “Offline”.

LED on DSS-II main unit turns to be “1”.

Exit the Maintenance Terminal.

2-2. Distribute the model number of DSS-II from CD-R.

check
1. Insert CD-R (for DSS-II), which is enclosed in Engineering PC.
2. Display CD-R on Windows Explorer.

[Note] By default IP address of DSS-II is 192.168.30.82. If the IP address of DSS-II for which
model number has to be replaced differs, follow the procedure of 2-1.
2-1. Make a Folder on PC. Copy all files on CD-R to the Folder.
Display the Folder on Windows Explorer.
Display dssFTP.bat in Memo Pad.
Change the IP address portion to the IP address of targeted DSS-II and save it.

3. Double click dssFTP.bat.

Distribute model number of


DSS-II.

For other settings, click [Select] of

Select dialog box appears.

Click [Enter].

If model number distribution is


successful, dialog box closes and

2-4. Shift to Online.

Shift DSS-II to Online (Warm start).


[CAUTION] Shift DSS-II to Online after SMS-II becomes Online.

Open the Maintenance Terminal.
Enter DSS-II address.
And click the [Maintenance Menu].

DSS-II: . . .

Select Offline Menu tab and then click the


[Controller operation].

Click the [Restart the controller].

Click the [Warm] from Initialize Mode.


Click [Yes] when System Start confirmation
dialog box of appears.

The “Confirmation” dialog box appears.
