Thank you for giving us the opportunity to evaluate your claim for possible coverage. As discussed, we've determined
your loss isn’t covered by your HO-9R(02) 07-08 homeowners policy.

Reason for Denial

Your claim for the repair and/or replacement of the cracks in the perimeter exterior walls, separations and gaps within
the interior of the crawlspace and basement, and mold in the crawl space isn’t covered because your policy does not
cover damage caused directly or indirectly by settling or cracking of walls. Your policy further does not cover damage
resulting from faulty, negligent, inadequate or defective ground grading or compaction. Your policy further does not
cover damage resulting from water or water-borne material below the surface of the ground that seeps or leaks through
a building or foundation. Additionally, your policy does not cover damage from weather conditions which include but not
limited to humidity.

1. k. Settling, cracking, shrinking, bulging or expansion of pavements, patios, foundations, walls, floors, roofs or ceilings;

PROPERTY PROTECTION:
1. c. Water Damage arising from, caused by or resulting from human or animal forces, any act of nature, or any other
source. Water damage means damage caused by or consisting of:
(4) Water or water-borne material below the surface of the ground, including water which exerts pressure on or seeps
through a building, sidewalk, driveway, foundation, swimming pool or other structure;

2. a. Weather Conditions which includes but is not limited to heat, cold, humidity, rain, ice, snow, sleet, wind, hail or
drought. However, this exclusion only applies if weather conditions contribute in any way with a cause or event
excluded in LOSSES WE DO NOT COVER UNDER DWELLING PROTECTION AND OTHER STRUCTURES PROTECTION,
item 1. above to produce the loss.

2. c. Faulty, negligent, inadequate or defective:

(2) Design, specifications, workmanship, repair, construction, renovation, remodeling, grading, compaction;

the loss, complied with all policy provisions, and started legal action within two (2) years from the date of loss.
