Interviewer: Good evening everyone, today we have the privilege of sitting down with the

remarkable Rita Ora. Thank you for joining us.

Rita Ora: Thank you so much for having me. I'm excited to be here.

Interviewer: Rita, your journey from being a refugee to becoming a global icon is truly
inspiring. Can you take us back to your childhood and share with us what it was like growing
up as a refugee in London?

Rita Ora: Absolutely. I was born in Kosovo which was part of Yugoslavia, but in order to
escape the conflict in the Balkans, me and my family fled and came to the United Kingdom.
You know, it's hard to put into words the complexity of emotions that come with being a
refugee child. We arrived in London with nothing but hope and the clothes on our backs. It
was a challenging time for all of us, we left because my father didn't want to attend the army.
He chose to bring up his children instead. It was something that my mother and father chose
for us. As parents, I am not one, but I can imagine you would do anything for your children.
So they did just that, and I'm very, very grateful.

Interviewer: And what does being Kosoven mean to you?

Rita Ora: Well, it' s me. It's what my blood is. It's what I feel under my skin. Everything I've
learned from my parents, my morals, the food I cook, how i say goodbye

Interviewer: how do you say «thank you» ?

Rita Ora:Faleminderit, (Keep answering),Kosovo will always be our homeland and we will
forever be proud Kosovans.
I’m so humbled to now be able to give back to my home country as an Honorary
Ambassador. When we have the opportunity, I often go back to visit with my family. I love
every little thing about Kosovan; it’s so different. The national dress is beautiful and the food
is delicious. Baklava is my favorite thing in the world. I’ve never met anyone who doesn’t like
it; it’s incredible. I will forever be a true Kosovan at heart. I’ll never forget my roots and I’ll be
forever proud of my heritage – I wouldn’t change a thing.”

Interviewer: And you're so proud of your language as well, because you only came here as
a baby.

Rita Ora: I did. I came to London when I was one year old. So I've been here now for 23
years.I don’t feel English. I feel like I am from London as it’s diverse and I grew up with
different nationalities around me in West London . I've only spoken my language in my
home, so I'm not as fluent as I wish I was, but I do understand it very well.

Interviewer: Rita, your journey from refugee to renowned pop star is nothing short of
remarkable. Can you share with us some of the crucial moments that shaped your path to
success?
Rita Ora: Absolutely. Well, it's been quite a journey, filled with both challenges and triumphs.
Growing up as a refugee in London wasn't easy, but my family's resilience and support laid
the foundation for everything I've achieved. Music became my passion and my ticket to
success.

Interviewer: Your resilience is truly admirable, Rita. Can you take us back to a specific
moment in your career that stands out as a turning point? What was going through your
mind during that time?

Rita Ora: One important moment for me was when I first realized the impact I could have as
an artist beyond just making music. It was the moment I recognized the power of my
platform to amplify important messages and advocate for change. Whether it was speaking
out against injustice or using my voice to uplift marginalized communities, I knew that music
was more than just entertainment—it was a tool for empowerment.

Interviewer: Your dedication to serving others is truly commendable, Rita. As we wrap up,
what message would you like to share with aspiring artists and individuals facing adversity?

Rita Ora: To anyone out there pursuing their dreams or navigating difficult circumstances, I
want to say to believe in yourself, stay true to your vision, and never underestimate the
power of resilience. Your journey may be challenging, but are those moments of struggle that
ultimately shape you into the person you're meant to be. And always remember, no dream is
too big to chase.

Interviewer: Thank you, Rita, for sharing your wisdom with us. Your journey is a testament
to the power of perseverance and passion.

Rita Ora: Thank you for having me. It's been a real pleasure talking to you.
