Stolen Generation:

-Also known as stolen children.

- children of Australian aboriginal descent who were kidnapped from their biological families
by the government and assimilated into anglo-australian society between approximately
1905 and 1970.

Child Removal Policy:

-Was supposed to help neglected aboriginal children.
-The actual objective of the policy was to erase aboriginal culture.
-Removed aboriginal people and non removed people had about the same social status, but
removed ones had more occurrences of mental illness such as depression and anxiety.

Consequences of the Policy:

-Trauma haunts the victims of the policy.
-Healing Foundation is created to help victims of the policy to process trauma.
